Easter Rail Disruption 2015. Better to travel by coach
Posted in Industry news
Rail disruption could grind your plans to a halt this Easter. Some trains won't be running - and the ones that are will likely be crammed.
The planned engineering works over the Easter weekend on the West Coast Main Line and First Great Western lines are going to cause major disruption to train services, including those to and from the capital, with Network Rail advising people to check before they travel and some train operators asking people to travel on alternative dates if possible. Works mean much longer journey times, multiple changes and replacement buses for rail passengers travelling on these routes with delays of up to four hours.
National Express & Megabus services can help get your plans back on track. Mainly the coach services are direct, comfortable, and you're guaranteed a seat with room for your luggage. Plus, the operators travel direct so there's no need to worry about changing trains, missing your connection, or carting your luggage from one platform to the next. Coaches are modern vehicles equipped with air conditioning, comfortable reclining seats and a toilet. Some services provide free Wi-Fi. You can also travel with luggages at no extra charge.
