Posted in Industry news
Megabus on their website posted a statement about the Megabus Gold service S35;
Due to low customer usage S35 Cardiff - Glasgow sleeper service, it is with regret megabus.com will be withdrawing this service from 1st March 2015. The carrier would like to thank all customers and staff who have supported this service.
Since the Megabus Gold coach service between Cardiff and Glasgow began in 2014 Magabus team has worked hard to grow passenger numbers. Unfortunately, in spite of the hard work and commitment of all of the staff involved they have not been able to reach a point where the service is economically viable. As a result Megabus have made a decision to withdraw the Cardiff-Glasgow route. It is a shame for passengers because It was the only direct coach service between these two cities on the British market. This service has a higher standard and very attractive travel time.
