Time to go to Munich for this year's Oktoberfest. Travel for less with Eurolines
Posted in Travel tips
Don´t miss the world´s most famous beer festival and set out with the friends to have a great fun there! Travel by coach to Munich in Germany for the Oktoberfest 2012.
When planning your trip, you need to strike a balance between how much comfort you want to travel in and your budget. So our advice is to take a coach.
All Eurolines branches are now preparing for this annual event. It does not matter whether you are travelling from Britain, France or the Czech Republic this largest European coach operator will take you and your mates safely, quickly and easily.
The world´s largest beer festival will open its door to the visitors on Saturday, September 22nd 2012 and will last until October 7th 2012. At noontime, 12.00 pm, the lord mayor of Munich will have the honor of tapping the first keg of Oktoberfest beer.
The cheapest way to book this journey is online. Each Eurolines branch has its own website where you can make a ticket purchase; you can book at www.eurolines.co.uk (UK residents) which uses the British reservation system, www.eurolines.fr (French residents) which uses the French reservation system, www.eurolines.cz (Czech residents) which uses the Czech reservation system.
Organizing transport is not everything, you still need to have a place where you can sleep.
These sites may be helpful in finding a place in Munich where you can rest. They are great for those who don’t really know where you want to go or what kind of hotel you want. Have a look at Lastminute, Expedia and LateRooms. You can also book a stay in a hostel, which is a cheaper option. Hostels are a lot nicer than they used to be. Sometimes can resemble a three-star hotel. Some offer breakfast and they all have reasonable facilities (such as free Wifi or cheap-to-use internet) to help you get by during your stay. Have a look at Hostelbookers
If you are not convinced to use the coach, it is best if you compare prices for alternative transports. Check at RailEurope for rail services or at BudgetAir if you prefer planes.
