Strike forces Lufthansa to cancel flights, so choose Eurolines
Posted in Travel tips
Lufthansa workers strike has expanded. We wrote about this yesterday here. Germany’s national air-carrier has been forced to cancel two-thirds of scheduled flights on Friday ahead of a 24-hour walk-out by cabin crew. So if you need to travel to Germany iwithin the next few days it will be much better to use alternative means of transport such as coach.
Eurolines runs a frequent coach service from its London (Victoria Coach Station) terminal to 25 cities in Germany (listed below). With Eurolines you get a free luggage allowance of two medium size suitcases plus an item of hand luggage. If you're travelling from outside London the carrier offers a special connection fare on National Express services for just £15 (single or return) from any National Express departure point.
You can travel with Eurolines from London & Britain to: Aachen, Berlin, Bielefeld, Bochum, Braunschweig, Bremen, Cologne, Dortmund, Duisburg, Dusseldorf, Essen, Flensburg, Frankfurt, Heidelburg, Hamburg, Hanover, Karlsruhe, Kiel, Lubeck, Mannheim, Munich, Munster, Nuremburg, Stuttgart & Ulm.
