Important changes for people travelling to or transiting through France
Posted in Industry news
Eurolines.co.uk informs on changes relating travel to or through France. Residents of the European Union do not need to worry, the changes relate to some nations from outside the Union.
After more than 50 years France has suspended the European Agreement dated 20/04/1959 which allowed refugees holding a travel document to travel without a Schengen Visa and is now requiring all refugees, regardless of their country of origin, to have a valid Schengen Visa in order to enter and stay on French territory.
So before you travel check carefully the requirements for travel documents. All customers particularly those from outside of the EU are advised to check travel documents to ensure they are valid for entry to France. For further information you are advised to contact the French consulate www.ambafrance-uk.org
