Bad news for pensioners and disabled people
Posted in Industry news
The British government coalition agreed to liquidate the existing concessions for coach travel for people over 60 years of age and with disabilities. Coalition cuts will mean half-price coach travel for pensioners and the disabled will be slashed from the budget. More you can read in the Mirror paper.
Unfortunately, the government cuts also affected the least affluent in the british society. From October 2011 pensioner and disabled people will be deprived of the concessions fares, and to take advantage of discounts they’ll have to seek trade concessions offered by the carriers.
National Express still enables the purchase of concession tickets for people over 60 and disabled, read more on the National Express website.
